American Greetings Expands iPhone Application to Include Retail Coupons

Cleveland, Ohio (December 16, 2009) – This summer American Greetings Corporation (NYSE: AM) introduced an iPhone application offering e-cards, which skyrocketed up the list of offerings on iTunes, and was among the top ten entertainment applications in terms of total downloads. Now, just in time for the holiday season, the application has been updated to include the option for consumers to take advantage of special coupons for paper greetings, redeemable at American Greetings retailers nationwide.
This innovative savings opportunity represents another way that the greeting card company is working to help consumers find the perfect card.

The current offer, good now through December 31, 2009, gives consumers $1 off any three greeting cards purchased. All current and new users of the American Greetings app will be able to redeem the coupon as soon as they launch the application. The coupon is then e-mailed to the shopper, and can be printed out and redeemed at retail.
